Bergstrom Inc.’s Alan Leupold elected to MACS Board of DirectorsFebruary 11, 2015
Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, announced that Alan Leupold, Director of Test and Development at Bergstrom, has been elected to the Mobile Air Conditioning Society’s (MACS) Worldwide Board of Directors. Founded in 1981, MACS Worldwide is the leading non-profit trade association for total vehicle climate and thermal management.
Leupold was sworn in for a two-year term at the annual MACS membership meeting held at the MACS 2015 Training Event and Trade Show in Orlando, Fla. Leupold brings several decades of experience in commercial vehicle HVAC system design and testing to his MACS board position.
Within his role at Bergstrom, Leupold leads test and development lab facilities, equipment and personnel as the company continues to expand its internal capabilities in product validation and analysis in support of global OEM customers. He is actively involved with work on HVAC analyses and service techniques, which has led to several awards, including the prestigious "Pioneer Award" from MACS. A true innovator, Leupold holds 12 HVAC-related patents with several in process.
Additionally, Leupold currently serves as Vice Chairman of the SAE HFTC6 Committee and is Chairman of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Operator Environment Committee.
Prior to joining Bergstrom, Leupold spent 39 years with CNH, Case and International Harvester, one of the world’s leading producers of agricultural and construction equipment.
