Bergstrom Inc. introduces modular HVAC system for off-highway vehicles
January 30, 2012
Bergstrom, a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, will soon launched a HVAC system for off-highway vehicles that consists of four separate modules, making it more flexible than similar products currently on the market.
The modular HVAC Unit consists of four sections: a mode distribution module, a heat exchanger module, a blower module, & air intake module. This approach gives customers the ability to install the product in the configuration that best fits their application.
"The modular nature of this product was a key component in the design and development process,” said John Bracey, vice president of engineering for Bergstrom, Inc. "We feel that we’ve succeeded in developing a system that is not only more flexible but also more robust, reliable, and exceeds the performance of other comparable products on the market today.”
The new high-performing modular HVAC Unit will be available at the end of the first quarter 2012 and also features:
- Standard automatic temperature controls
- Infinitely variable blower speed
- Customizable air inlet and outlet configurations
- Flash programmable controller with CAN interface
In addition, the system has been validated to the rigorous requirements of numerous OEM customers, and global off highway equipment manufacturers.
