Bergstrom names Alan Leupold Director of Test and Development

As a result of ongoing growth, Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, has named Alan Leupold Director of Test and Development.
Leupold brings to Bergstrom several decades of experience in commercial vehicle HVAC system design and testing. Prior to joining Bergstrom, he spent 39 years with CNH, Case, and International Harvester, one of the world’s leading producers of agricultural and construction equipment.
In his new role, Leupold will be responsible for leading Bergstrom’s test and development lab facilities, equipment, and personnel as the company continues to expand its internal capabilities in product validation and analysis in support of our global OEM customers.

Leupold has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University located at Valparaiso, Indiana.
His contributions to the HVAC industry are numerous and will continue at Bergstrom as he continues his support of development of industry standards for ISO, SAE and ASABE. As part of Bergstrom’s Test and Development Team he will continue his work on HVAC analyses and service techniques, which has led to several awards, including the prestigious "Pioneer Award" from the Mobile Air Conditioning Society.Bergstrom also expects him to continue to develop innovative ideas as evidenced by his 10 HVAC related patents and additional 4 in process.
