April 15, 2016
After nearly 50 years in the heavy duty trucking industry, Bryon Rahn, national fleet manager at Bergstrom Inc. will retire on Friday, April 15.
Rahn’s decision to retire will bring to a close a remarkable career of continuous service in the trucking sector.
"Bryon has been an incredible leader at Bergstrom and has played an instrumental role in strengthening our relationships with fleets and dealers in terms of NITE and Bergstrom-supplied OEM systems,” said Jack Shaffer, president and CEO of Bergstrom. "We’re very grateful for his countless contributions to Bergstrom and wish him the best in the years ahead.”
Rahn started his career in 1967 working for Cummins Missouri Diesel. After several years he began selling Peterbilt trucks in Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and then Texas. He then transitioned to Sears Manufacturing where he sold suspension and non-suspension seating systems for the agricultural, construction, and material handling equipment, and over the road truck markets. He began to work for Bergstrom in 2007 as national fleet sales manager.
"I have worked with Bryon for more than 15 years at both Sears Seating and Bergstrom,” said Bill Gordon, division president of Bergstrom Parts, LLC. "Bryon is a very knowledgeable professional and highly respected in our industry.”
Rahn, who was based in Arkansas, recently moved to Texas.
"I went to work with Bergstrom so I could have the opportunity to sell and represent the latest technologies to help the trucking industry save money and promote a cleaner environment,” said Rahn. "I feel privileged to end my career at Bergstrom and look forward to the next chapter in my life.”
