Bergstrom Rockford facility receives Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process recertification for seventh time

Caterpillar, Inc. has certified Bergstrom’s Rockford plant in Rockford, Ill. as a silver level Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) facility. The facility previously had been certified to the bronze level.
This prestigious award is a testament to Bergstrom’s dedication to keeping up strong values and ethical principles in business relationships, especially in its commitment to Caterpillar’s objective to implement a culture for "zero-defects” across its supply base.
Bergstrom’s facilities in Ystrad Mynach, Wales and Changzhou, China are also SQEP certified by Caterpillar.

Caterpillar’s SQEP rigorous certification program recognizes supplier’s dedication to providing excellence in quality, delivery and cost, and is only awarded to those that demonstrate such world-class performance on an ongoing basis.
It combines industry-proven quality system and process management requirements from ISO 9001:2001 with demonstrated results to ensure supplier capability and performance. Each year, suppliers are evaluated with increasingly strict criteria for distinguishing outstanding supplier quality performance, exceptional service, capacity planning and delivery performance.
The recognition is awarded annually and comes in levels of bronze, silver, gold and platinum, reflected in order of increasing difficulty.
