Bergstrom Inc. promotes Joe Kirby and George Lamoureux

March 28, 2017

Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, announced two recent promotions within its leadership team today.

Joe Kirby was promoted to the role of Director of Fleet Sales and Market Intelligence, and George Lamoureux, PMP, is now the Director of New and Advance Product Introduction. Both have been with Bergstrom for multiple years and have extensive experience in the commercial vehicle industry.

In his new role, Kirby will be responsible for developing business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating product and sales opportunities with truck fleet customers. Kirby will also lead the efforts to gain market intelligence by identifying product improvements or new products, remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors. This activity will ultimately lead to providing Bergstrom with recommendations on future products, services and markets to pursue.

"In the dynamic and ever-changing business environment that is present in the world today, it is critically important to design and provide products that correctly address the needs of the customer. Joe will focus our efforts in this regard by soliciting and receiving input from our current and potential customers,” said Bergstrom President of North America Gus Anton.

Kirby is a 35-year veteran of the commercial vehicle business. Previously, he has held positions in sales, marketing and product development at Caterpillar, Mack Trucks, Meritor and Webasto and thus brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role at Bergstrom.

Lamoureux, now Director of New and Advance Product Introduction, will be responsible for the new product introduction process of advance products and projects to the various Bergstrom divisions.

He will coordinate projects both functionally and technically through the product development process, and ensure the efficient and effective design and development of product and process changes while providing leadership and development of cross-functional product development teams. In addition, he will assist in new product development through benchmark studies, market surveys, industry data and direct customer contact.

Lamoureux has been with Bergstrom for 21 years and has held positions as Directors of Engineering, Program Management and New Product Introduction. This experience was influential in his appointment to his new role.
